Meet Owen & Bobbi Krist
Owen and Bobbi Krist took over Caribou U Brew in 2015. It was time for a change in their lives, and entrepreneurship seemed like the ideal next step for them. The Krists were fans and customers of Caribou U Brew, so when the founders of the business decided to retire after 23 years they saw it as the perfect opportunity. It is giving them the chance to invest in their own future and to put their own ideas and creativity to work in the pursuit of success while carrying on a local tradition of excellence in home brewing.
Williams Lake is Bobbi's hometown, and Owen moved here when he met Bobbi. Having moved from Vancouver, Owen has enjoyed the change of pace and the laid back lifestyle of the Cariboo small town. He loves the outdoors and the fact that nature is right out the back door here. It makes it easy for him and Bobbi to pursue the outdoor recreational activities they enjoy, like camping and fishing.
Owen and Bobbi have no doubt that small business owners in Williams Lake have much more to offer than chain store and big box competitors, and that innovation is key to their ongoing success.
