Meet Teresa Trim
Teresa Trim's interest in and passion for natural body products began when she was searching for relief from eczema. She couldn't find any products locally that didn't irritate her skin and make her condition worse. She decided to try making her own soap out of natural ingredients. She noticed a difference right away. Next, she made a baby-friendly cream for her grandson's skin, and then a joint/back cream for her husband. By then, she was hooked.
She began selling her natural body care products in 2006, and became an official business in 2013. She is proud of the quality of the products that she makes and how they have been able to help so many local people deal with various skin conditions in a healthy way. "I get so many compliments from people how much they like it and how good it works," Teresa says. "It makes me feel really good to hear things like that." Teresa enjoys every aspect of her business, from the creativity of making the products and trying out new recipes and ingredients, to getting out into the marketplace and selling it while meeting new people.
What makes doing business fun in a small town is the ease at which she is able to get to know her customers. People are friendly, and many of her regular customers end up becoming friends. It makes her work more personal and fulfilling. Besides the amiable familiarity with fellow residents that comes with small town living, Teresa also appreciates the fact that there is so much to do outdoors. Teresa is an avid gardener, and she even did the landscaping in the yard of the home that she recently built. She also likes to get out fishing and camping.
