Meet Dale Schick
Meet Dale Schick
Dale Schick has been part of the sign and decal industry for over 20 years, starting out as an employee at a local Williams Lake company. “I began working for Trimline in 1992 doing vehicle graphics and accessories,” says Dale. “After a few years of working for the previous owner, my wife and I were given the opportunity to purchase the business. In 1998, we made it official. We changed the name to Schickworks Signs & Stitches and we’ve been doing this ever since!”
This entrepreneur says that living in a small town has its pros and cons, but it’s ultimately beneficial for him and his company. “Over the years I’ve met and formed relationships with many of the other great business owners in town, which might not have been possible in a larger centre. I would say that this small town structure has been beneficial to us as a business.”
"Choosing a sign is a little bit more personal so I think that people really like being able to come and talk to someone face-to-face" says Dale. Dale is confident that with Schickworks' great customer service and short turnaround, along with twenty years of industry experience, they are able to offer quality products and services to their customers.
In their free time, Dale and his wife like to go camping, truly getting a chance to enjoy all that the Cariboo has to offer.
