Meet Trenisa Durfeld

Meet Trenisa Durfeld

Trenisa Durfeld was looking for a career change. With the support and encouragement of her husband, she decided to go back to school to pursue training as a certified esthetician. After graduating, she decided to start her own business, again with her spouse at her side. "My husband was always self-employed and was very encouraging in furthering my education and in helping me open my own business. For years I helped him with his business and this prepared me in opening my own," Trenisa says.

Now, more than a decade later, Trenisa credits the stability of her business to her loyal customers, who have been incredibly supportive. She derives a deep sense of satisfaction and accomplishment from her work with clients, helping them to de-stress, feel good about themselves and get healthy. She also appreciates the independence that comes with business ownership. Says Trenisa, "I love being able to set the standards of my work environment as well as the freedom to surround myself with people I really enjoy working with."

Trenisa grew up in Williams Lake and has a true passion for the community. Doing business in a small town, "you get to know most of the people you meet and many become friends and acquaintances." She also relishes the relaxed pace of life and is grateful that it gives her lots of time to spend with her family and extended family. As for the business community, Trenisa says there are many amazing boutique-style shops, stores and eateries here that give the town a unique character unlike any other small town. "Look around the downtown shops," Trenisa urges. "Stop in and peek around, you will be amazed at what you find!"
