Meet Brock Smith
One of the drawbacks of doing business in a big city is that you may meet a customer once and never see them again. Not so when working in a small town like Williams Lake, says Brock Smith. One of his favourite aspects of small town business is running into a client in town and being able to maintain a relationship with them that extends outside of the storefront. “You may not see your clients on the street if you lived in a city,” says Brock. Relationships are an important part of doing business in a place like Williams Lake. It is those very relationships that make work meaningful, whatever one’s job happens to be. It helps to make Williams Lake feel like home, even for people who weren’t born here.
Brock started the company in 2004 as a small venture. It has grown steadily since then to a company with multiple employees. a perfect record of satisfied clients and an expanding list of return customers. Brock has long had a passion for wood work, and a strong work ethic that drives him to make sure even the smallest of details in each job are not overlooked. He is proud of the craftsmanship of everything his company produces, whether it is a small piece of furniture or an entire home. Even better is knowing that his customers will be able to enjoy their project for many years.
Work is so steady for Brock, in fact, that days off are sometimes scarce. When he manages to get one, he’s usually quick to head out to one of his favourite local fishing spots. Don’t ask him to share those locations, though! Brock also likes to spend his leisure time with his family, which includes two young children.
Accurate. Artistic. Flexible.
