Total Ice Training Centre provides on-ice instruction in the form of private, semi-private, small group, weekly on-ice clinics and hockey schools. Its TSC (Total Strength and Conditioning) Program offers all of its members a structured fitness program to meet their needs through the five basic human movements. Total Ice Training Centre also offer personalized fitness instruction for individuals and teams. State of the art skating treadmill training also allows clients to maximize potential by focusing on proper mechanics of skating. Whether you’re a hockey player looking to further hone your skills or a beginner just learning to skate, Total Ice Training Centre has a program to meet your needs. Athletes of all kinds who want to focus on developing a specific skill or muscle group will even find one-on-one, personalized training tailored to his or her individual goals.

Meet Tyrel & Kayla Lucas
A serious injury forced hockey player Tyrel Lucas to take a step back from his hockey career. Tyrel had played for several teams, including the Williams Lake Stampeders, but now he was faced with the realization that he might not play again. Tyrel and his wife, Kayla, took stock of their lives and realized that they both had a passion for the game, and that hockey could still be their focus even if Tyrel couldn't play at the same level again. A dream of a facility that would be dedicated to the training and conditioning of hockey players as well as other types of athletes began to take shape, and finally, in 2012, they opened Total Ice Training Centre in Williams Lake.
The facility and its unique programs are one-of-a-kind in the Cariboo and perhaps even in all of northern BC. It offers hockey programs and skills training for players from age four all the way to seniors. And while its focus is hockey, Kayla points out that they are able to provide personalized training for all kinds of athletes and target specific skills or condition specific areas of the body related to any sport.
Kayla says that the community of Williams Lake has been overwhelmingly supportive of their business. "There was definitely a need for this, a niche," she notes. It has helped to bring the hockey community together in a whole new way and to generate new enthusiasm for the sport. The couple agrees that Williams Lake has the perfect mix of wonderful, genuinely-caring people, unique shopping and essential services, and a wonderful outdoor playground for doing just about anything imaginable. The entire Lucas family enjoys fishing and camping for fun and the couple's children are involved in numerous activities including, naturally, hockey.
